The north intersection of Sutherland Road and Sunraysia Highway, St Arnaud are being widened for heavy vehicle turning movements.
Works started on April 16 and are estimated to be completed by mid-May, pending weather conditions.
Works also commenced on the realignment of the Woolpack Road and Sunraysia Highway intersection, St Arnaud.
Works involve realigning and sealing the intersection to increase the safety of all vehicles using the intersection, with completion expected by mid-May.
The construction of a new 200 metre footpath also began this week on McMahon Street, St Arnaud.
The footpath will stretch between Raglan and Inkerman streets.
Minor pedestrian detours will be in place during the construction and works should be completed by late May 2018 pending weather conditions.
Funding for these projects in St Arnaud came from the federal and state government.
