St Arnaud’s team in the cycling relay event Murray to Moyne - Tyred n Cranky - have completed their ride from Echuca to Port Fairy. Most team members came from St Arnaud, but other members came from Ballarat and Warrnambool. The team was raising money for juvenile diabetes, with money going to the group Mallee Kids with Type One Diabetes.

Tyred n Cranky was greeted by families representing Mallee Kids with type one diabetes when they arrived in Stawell. The team was similarly greeted when they arrived in Boort later on.
The group connects kids who have type one diabetes from the Mallee region as a way of learning to live with the chronic disease and how to manage it by talking with other kids who are living with type one diabetes.
Two kids from Mallee Kids with type one diabetes, Alexa Cameron, from Marnoo, and Blair Gould, from Birchip, recently met with Greg Hunt to discuss what was like being a young person living with type one diabetes.
