Despite the heavy loss, Navarre coach Krystal Browne said she saw positive signs from her side.
“Carisbrook were just far too good for us on the day but there is definitely room for improvement from us,” she said.
“With one game under our belts we will be a little wiser as to how we all play, especially considering how new the group is.”
The Grasshoppers will be hoping to get their hands on the ball more often against the Saints, an issue they had last weekend.
They only managed 17 shots against the Redbacks, converting seven into goals. That was in comparison to Carisbrook’s mammoth total of 95 shots at goal.
Browne said she expects her side to bounce back.
“The girls held their heads high in the loss so they won’t be down heading into Saturday,” she said.
