“Whether people are for this proposal or against it, it is vital that our community has its say on this issue,” Northern Grampians Shire Council Mayor Cr Tony Driscoll said.
“Victoria Police are coming to the public in order to gauge the feelings of our ratepayers, so now it is up to local residents to deliver that feedback.”
The community forum, with Victoria Police representatives, will be held on Wednesday night at the Central Park clubrooms beginning at 6.30pm.
Cr Driscoll said “our previous forum on this issue in St Arnaud delivered some strong feedback and I’m hoping we see a similar turnout from our Stawell and district residents on April 18.”
