ARARAT
FRIDAY: Good Friday game between Ararat and Stawell, featuring former AFL stars Leigh Montagna and Jack Anthony. Alexandra Oval.
ARARAT NORTH STORE – EASTER HOURS: Good Friday 7am-5pm, Saturday 7am-5pm, Easter Sunday 7am-2pm, Monday 7am-5pm. Usual hours: 6am-6pm 7 days.
The Ararat North Store has been a favourite meal destination among locals for years. Freshly ground coffee brewed to perfection, and a wide range of hot meals that are perfect for lunch, dinner or a quick snack on the run and is home cooking at its best. The North Store also stocks a range of magazines, newspapers, lollies, drinks and even a range of gluten free products. So if you’re after a delicious meal or a tasty treat then then pop down and say hello to the friendly team at the Ararat North Store.
STAWELL
FRIDAY: Town hall from 6pm: relive the highlights of the 2017 Stawell Gift, Hall of Fame inductee presentations, elite athlete interviews and preview of the 2018 Stawell Gift, calcutta.
SATURDAY: Central Park from 9am: Racing commences including the heats of the Stawell Gift, women’s and men’s Fashions on the Field; SES Market in Sloane Street.
SATURDAY: The Stawell SES market helps support the volunteer rescue and disaster relief squad. Stawell SES duty officer Jenny Rooke said the markets already held this year monthly on Sunday’s have been a success and helped with uniform costs. The market will have all its regular stallholders with special stalls for easter. Come down for a look, check out all the bargains and grab a sausage, burger, egg and bacon roll from the barbecue or a cuppa with scones, jam and cream!
SUNDAY: Central Park from 9am: Stawell Gift racing continues, Little Athletics clinic; Stuart McGregor Stawell Cup at the Stawell Racecourse from 11am.

The annual Moyston Easter Market is on again this Easter Sunday with a heap of great activities including: Longest Footy Kicking Competition for men, women and kids – starts 11.30am; Live music by Ararat duo SOFT; Raffle – WIN a tandem trailer of wood; Market Stalls: Arts & crafts, homemade googies, pre-loved treasures and more; Devonshire tea; Gourmet BBQ; Vintage Car Display; CFA Display and Entrapment Drill. We haven’t forgotten the kids with great activities and entertainment including: Easter Egg Trail, Coloring and painting and Jumping Castle.
