The Halls Gap Comedy Festival is back for its second year, with locals and visitors alike set to be rolling on the floor laughing by the night’s end.
The festival returns to the Grampians for one night only, in what is sure to be a can’t miss evening of side-splitting performances. The event will be taking place at Halls Gap Centennial Hall on Saturday, March 24.
After touring internationally, Greg Fleet returns to Australia to sit atop an all-star international lineup headed for Halls Gap.
Fleet has been featuring on Australian TV and radio for the better part of 30 years, including stints on Triple M as a fill-in host.
He recently starred in the Australian 2015 movie, Me and My Mates vs The Vombie Apocalypses alongside fellow Australian comedians Jim Jefferies and Alex Williamson.
Fleet will be joined by local comedians Cath Styles and Lara Schwarcz, and international acts Viggo Venn from Norway, and Seymour Mace from the UK, who will be MC-ing the festivities.
This will be the second year straight Venn and Mace will be performing the Grampians crowd.
These five comedians will be heading straight to the Grampians to show off their new material after competing in the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Those in attendance will have the pleasure of witnessing these laugh-out-loud performers before they head down to Melbourne for the International Comedy Festival.
Performers of this caliber rarely come through the Grampians, so the Comedy Festival is a can’t miss opportunity for those who love to get out and have a laugh with their mates, according to organisers.
The festival is being sponsored by the Tuxedo Cat, Bar and Arts Hub, the Gariwerd Motel and the Fallen Giant Wines.
Tickets for the festival can be found online for $15 (plus a small booking fee) on eventbrite.com
