Park staff have been struggling to maintain their lawned areas as corellas have pulling up and eating their grass, leaving the park with the task of filling the holes left by the birds before the Easter holiday rush.
In response to the damage being caused by the pesky birds, staff have erected two wooden dogs to help scare off the corellas.
The two black ‘dogs’ have had locals doing a double take when travelling past the caravan park, as they are familiar with the parks ‘no dogs off leads’ policy.
The owners have told residents if you look closely, the dogs actually are wearing their collars.
The inception of the strategy seems to be working, as park owners took to Facebook to say “there is not a corella to be seen”.
The corellas have been a nuisance for the park, as they tend to eat in large, noisy flocks and consume onion grass bulbs.
