The Ararat Storm will return to training this week with the team eyeing off a rare threepeat if it can win the 2018 Ballarat Football League Youth Girls premiership.

The Storm has been the team to beat in the past few years with the team set to have a different look to it ahead of the new season.
Coach Krystal Cameron returns for another season but said the team will be missing some key players in 2018.
“I think it will be a different look this season, will be a season of getting the girls together and understanding each other and how we play,” she said.
“Ange Stoneman and Chelsea Wilson are among the group that is now too old to play while Lauren Sykes, Nekaela Butler, Meg Wik and Georgia Clarke will also play for different teams next year.
“We are pretty settled though, we have lost a few due to age but we have picked up a few extras from other clubs which puts us back up at similar numbers from last season.”
The preseason training will not just focus on fitness with Cameron hoping to integrate a variety of activities early on in the program.
“We have got a few girls who are already training with the Rebels, so we need to be a bit mindful of that,” she said.
“Will be focusing on team building, fitness and skills early on but fitness is something we have lacked a little bit at times
“I think it will be a different look this season.
“It will be a season of getting the girls together and understanding each other and how we play and preseason will be important for that.”
Cameron, who was voted the coach of the year in 2017, said she is excited to get the group back together and look ahead to the season.
“The girls are keen to get back into it and will be good to get them back together and having some fun,” she said.
“I am already a bit back into it, working with the Rebels but it will be good to get back into it with the Storm and see the progress we can make.”
