The juniors were given the opportunity through the Milo In2Cricket program, where they took to the field at the lunch break of the third day of Australia’s Boxing Day test match against England.
Swifts-Great Western In2Cricket coordinator Travis Nicholson said it was a very enjoyable occasion.
“They joined up with another group of eight kids from another club and got to do three activities,” he said.

“It was really well run and the kids had a great time.
“I think it was a little bit daunting for them walking out in front of so many people but the crowd was really supportive which was fantastic.” Nicholson said the opportunity will be something for the youngsters to remember forever.
“It was an experience of a lifetime and something they will never, ever forget,” he said. “Hopefully they come back to club cricket even more excited about the sport and want to go on with it for a while to come.”
