Tatyoon has kept itself in the hunt for an A Grade finals berth, easily dealing with Halls Gap in the final match of the year on Saturday.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the bottom-placed Gappers picked up two early wickets to take the advantage.
Jarrod Blandford and Andrew Ward steadied things, putting on a partnership of 36 before Ward fell on 24.
Blandford’s outstanding form so far this season continued in the match, going on to top score with 77 as Tatyoon recorded a solid 145 from 40 overs.
Halls Gap’s struggles with the bat continued, as Tatyoon’s bowlers shared the wickets to knock the visitors over for 85.
Aaron Byron and James Phillips led the way with three wickets each.
Tatyoon now sits fifth on the ladder, just two points back from Aradale in the all important fourth position.
The Gappers remain win-less at the bottom of the A Grade ladder heading into the back end of the season.
