Women’s day basketball came to a close for another year on Monday, with players participating in a Christmas themed fun day.
Two games were played which featured team green and team gold.
After trailing 14-8 in the first half of game one, team gold fought back to force a 28-28 draw.
Tegan Cleeland scored 18 points for the green team, while Karissa Schumann had 16 for gold.
Game two was also very tight, with team green chasing down a three-point half-time deficit to win 22-21.
The two matches end another year of women’s day basketball which will return next year.
Organisers are already planning for 2018, hoping to start the next season in early February.
