HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a range of activities and entertainment at the second Ss Michael and John’s Primary School Spring Community Festival on Sunday.
The biennial event featured a range of market stalls, dance performances, a bucking bull, giant inflatable slide and climbing wall, and zorb balls.
Students also had the opportunity to dunk their teachers with the ‘Crank in the tank’ game.
There was also a range of food options and a licensed bar at the event.
Lisa Ward and her daughter Miley, 5, ran the lucky dip stand at the festival.
Mrs Ward – who works at the school in teacher support and has two children at the school – said the family atmosphere at the event was a highlight.
“The kids are having a ball,” she said.
“It is good to see families from all across the community and other schools – not just our school – getting involved.
“The committee has done really well organising everything.
“This is the second time the school has hosted the festival and it has evolved a lot from the first one.
“They really took on the feedback and it’s a fantastic event.”
Horsham’s Rachael Werner visited with friends Indya Baulch and Maree Crouch.
She said they enjoyed the variety of things on offer at the event.
“We thought we would pop down in the afternoon before the start of the Tri State Games tonight – we’re looking forward to competing in that this week,” she said.
