Four of the dancer’s fathers have volunteered to be part of this year's recital Sparkles, Fur and Fro at the Town Hall on Saturday, November 11 at 7.30pm.
Stawell Ballet School president Dianne Blake said the students were excited to be participating in the recital with the four fathers.
“It has been one of my little personal ambitions to get men involved,” she said.
“It’s just something different and adds a bit more excitement to the recital.”
Ms Blake said the Stawell Ballet School organised a recital every year and were looking into the exact history of the group.
“There was a doctor in Stawell in the 1970s who wanted his daughter to do ballet and he opened up a dance studio in Melbourne,” she said.
“So the history of our group could have started with him – we’re looking into it.”
