A hidden webcam near a Stawell railway line crossing is capturing and posting an image every time the motion sensor goes off.
The images are posted to an online photo management website, Flickr, through a page called Stawell Webcam.
The website has about 426 pages of photos, with the first image posted in 2011, on August 14. It showed a Pacific National freight train which had just passed Stawell Railway Station.
But trains were not the only motion to trigger the sensor alarm.
Other images show bursts of colour and white flashes, mostly pictured at night.
A small selection of images from the giant collection are professional photos of trains arriving at and departing Stawell Railway Station.
