Navarre will be hoping for two football teams to progress to the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League grand finals at the weekend.
The Grasshoppers’ under-14.5 team will take on Carisbrook on Sunday in a preliminary final, one day after its senior football team plays Natte Bealiba.
The junior Grasshoppers won their way straight through to the preliminary finals after defeating the Maryborough Rovers in the qualifying final two weeks ago.
Navarre has defeated the Redbacks twice during the season including a 64-point win in round 15.
The winner of the Navarre and Carisbrook final will meet the winner of Trentham and Maryborough in the grand final.
The Saints and Rovers will meet on Saturday in the first preliminary final.
First bounce is at 10.10am on Sunday at Princes Park, Maryborough.
