High scoring was the overall theme of this week’s women’s day basketball action.
Foster’s men’s and ladies wear made light work of The Great Western Shoppe in the first game of the day, winning 50-20.
Foster’s held nothing back in the first half, with Brooke McKenzie’s 14 points steering them to an 18-point half-time lead.
McKenzie took her total score to 26 points for the game as Foster’s built on their lead.
The Great Western Shoppe improved their offence, scoring four more points in the second half.
Game two between Sneek-A-Peek and D.A.M Farming was a much closer affair.
D.A.M took a slender 13-12 half-time lead before Emily Davis lifted for Sneek-A-Peek in the second half.
Davis scored six points for the half and 10 for the game as her side ran away with a 28-21 win.
Carli Milikins finished with 11 points for D.A.M, including scoring a free throw.
D.A.M will meet The Great Western Shoppe next week while Ricksteel takes on Sneek-A-Peek. Foster’s will have the bye.
