Jockey Jessica Eaton claimed another double victory on Tuesday.
The TKO Racing stable apprentice rode two winners at Mildura to claim her sixth career double.
Eaton rode Fiona Crystal to victory for boutique trainer Doug Whitworth in the 2000m Mildura One Stop Wholesaler BM58 Handicap for her first win of the day.
She then backed it up on the Nathan Hobson trained Va Bene Amore, Eaton’s second win on the mare in August. Eaton also rode a Shining Star to victory at Donald on Saturday.
The double at Mildura took Eaton to seven wins to start the new racing season.
Eaton has moved to sixth in the country jockey premiership standings and 11th in the overall jockey standings in Victoria.
Eaton’s recent success her seen her drop her three kilogram claim to two kilograms.
The lower weight allowance highlights Eaton’s strong start to the season and quick progression up the jockey ranks.
“It is a badge of honour for an apprentice to outride their claim before their apprenticeship finishes,” Stawell Racing Club operations manager Mark Percival said.
