Ararat Storm star Georgia Clarke will take centre stage when she plays in the curtain raiser to the AFL Women’s State of Origin game at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Clarke will play alongside others picked in the All Australian squad, selected at the under-18 championships in Queensland last month.
The game will be used to select the final team for 2017.
Storm coach Krystal Cameron said Clarke had continued to progress with her football this year.
“It is an absolute pleasure to be coaching her and watching her grow,” she said.
“She has a very natural talent and she is constantly in the right spots during games and is a great asset to the club.
“It is pretty clear there is a lot of interest in her from AFLW clubs, she is very coachable and I look forward to watching her play at that level in the future.
“So that is exciting for her in particular.”
Many of her Storm teammates will go down and watch before Clarke joins her teammates for the Ballarat league grand final.
