Stawell Primary School students unite to raise cash for charity

Stawell 502 Primary School pupils swapped their uniforms for clown costumes on August 11 and raised $377 for the Ronald McDonald House charity.

Ronald McDonald House is a non-profit organisation which helps seriously ill children and their families.

The school’s junior school council organised the special event for parents, families and pupils including Rylan Smith, Sienna Cox and Matilda Rowen who had used Ronald McDonald facilities when undergoing treatment.

Their parents stayed at Ronald McDonald House to support their children during the difficult time.

Stawell 502 school principal Robyn Jones said she was extremely proud of the pupils’ efforts.

“The 502 students did a wonderful job, and looked fabulous wearing a sea of red, yellow and blue.”
