The Baggies were too good for Laharum in the Horsham district league’s reserves second elimination final at North Park on Sunday.
Swifts made the most of their chances early in the game, kicking eight goals straight before the Demons managed to claim their first halfway through the third term.
Laharum fought hard to reduce the deficit but started too far back, going down 10.3.63 to 3.7.25.
The game was not without drama, with Swifts’ Jordan Little receiving a yellow card and going on report just minutes before the final siren.
The Baggies were dealt an early blow, with Caleb Holden going down with a suspected broken collarbone.
Alex Close booted four goals for Swifts.
The win sees them advance to the semi-finals where they will play the Southern Mallee Giants.
The knockout final will be played at Kalkee on Sunday, September 3.
Swifts reserves will play before their senior team.
