Swifts’ only remaining netball team of the 2017 season has been knocked out of the finals after an elimination final loss to Harrow-Balmoral on Saturday.
The Southern Roos took the game away from Swifts in the first quarter, going on to win 28-21.
An 11-5 first term set up the win for Harrow-Balmoral.
The Baggies fought back after quarter-time, winning the second term 4-3 and cutting the margin to five.
Both teams shot seven goals in the third term, setting up an interesting final quarter.
The Baggies were unable to claw themselves back into the game, eventually going down by seven goals.
Clementine Lees shot 23 of Harrow-Balmoral’s 28 goals while the Baggies had a more even contribution from their shooters, with Phoebe Bretherton shooting 12 goals and Kathryn Boag nailing nine of her own. Olivia Barber was best on court for the Baggies.
