Eaton rode Eclat in the 1600m race seven at Ladbrokes Park, Sandown.
Eclat finished last in the 12-horse race.
Stawell Racing Club operations manager Mark Percival said it is great to see Eaton get an opportunity in a metro race.
“It is a huge milestone in any jockeys career to ride their first metro race,” he said.
“The first step is always the hardest. It will serve as a big stepping stone for her future.”
Eaton is part of the Terry and Karina O’Sullivan racing stables in Stawell.
Terry O’Sullivan said he was proud of Eaton for getting an opportunity.
“It was really good for Jess,” he said.
“She is definitely heading in the right direction.”
It has been a big season for Eaton so far, returning from injury and riding 18 winners, nine for TKO racing.
