The home team sit second on the ladder, trailing the Lakers by four points after the visitors knocked off the Storm in the round three match by 29 points.

The league had a bye last weekend, so both teams should be fresh with the reigning premiers out for revenge after their loss.

The team will miss Georgia Clarke who played in the AFL Womens under-18 championships, which is a significant loss for the reigning premiers.

Five other players who played in the Bob Davis Cup match between AFL Goldfields and AFL Barwon on Wednesday will back up for the match against the Lakers.

The Storm are coming off a 124-point win against Redan in round 10 and have a healthy percentage of 1083, more than double that of third-placed Ballarat Swans.

There will be a canteen open for food and drinks with the match set to kick off back-to-back games for the Storm at Great Western.

Storm coach Krystal Cameron said the team is keen to show they can match it with the Lakers and reverse the result of the match earlier in the season.

“I think they are keen to do that, last night at training there was a discussion at training it was the first quarter that was the difference,” she said.

“After that, we matched it with them for the other three quarters which will give them some confidence for the match.”

The team is coming off a bye with Cameron choosing to give the team a full week off training to refresh the body.

“We did not train at all last week,” she said.

‘Everybody needed a bit of a break and a little bit of the disadvantage we have up here is travel, and they are playing a lot of football, so all round a break from footy was needed I think.”

Cameron said defensive pressure will be important during the game. 

“The midfielders will need to have their defensive efforts on point from the start and I have every faith they can,” she said. First bounce is at 11.30am
