Navarre featured two players and a coach in the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League under 17 inter league netball team that played on Sunday.
MCDFNL took on the Central Highlands Netball League in an inter league carnival which saw under 13, under 15 and under 17 games played.
MCDFNL finished the day without a win, with the under 13’s coming closest with a draw.
Navarre’s Taylor Mason coached the under 17 team, with Mia Jensz and Melita Squire representing the Grasshoppers in the same side.
Mason said despite losing the game, her side played well.
“We played a really good game and the girls did well with the little amount of time they spent together prior to the game,” she said.
Navarre’s Jensz was best on court for the MCDFNL under 17 team.
“Playing with the stronger netballers in A Grade has really helped Mia,” Mason said.
“She has improved a lot and is definitely at the A Grade standard now.”
