The Antiques Roadshow is coming to Pomonal and the organising committee has promised a night of “good fun, laughter and plenty of bargains”.
The Social Justice Committee of the Pomonal Progress Association planned the fundraising event to support ongoing town projects.
Committee member Linda Handscombe said fans of the Antiques Roadshow and Bargain Hunt will love the event.
“It is a Roadshow and Bargain Hunt in Pomonal on the same night,” she said.
“We encourage members of the public to come along and join in the fun and auction.”
Ms Handscombe said people could join the event by setting up a team of two or more people and register the team’s name.
People could also visit one of Pomonal’s op shops and purchase two items, bring the items on the night and remember the purchase price or donate items for auctioning.
“On the night, all the items will be displayed and some more interesting items will be selected to be assessed by our experts, and then all the items will be auctioned,” Ms Handscombe said.
The team whose op shop finds make the most profit will receive a trophy.
The event will be at Pomonal Hall on Saturday, July 22 at 7pm.
