A distraught owner of a red Ford Mustang is facing a repair bill anywhere between $5000 and $25,000 after careless vandals set upon the vehicle in Lamont Street, Stawell on Saturday, June 3.
The owner of the car returned from an afternoon at the football to find significant damage to the boot and bonnet of the vehicle.
There was also a scratch down the right side of the vehicle.
The Mustang, pictured, was parked outside North Park while the football was on between 12.30-6pm.
Senior Constable Wendy Wheaton asked if anyone witnessed the damage to the vehicle to contact Stawell Police with any information on 5358 8222.
Sergeant Bill Alford condemned the act and said the damage would be very expensive to repair.
“This is a very distinct car, so if anyone witnessed anyone loitering near it, please contact police,” he said.
