
The finals series for the Stawell Racquetball Association got underway on Monday, as teams fought to keep their season alive.
Rusty played Quiksliver in an elimination semi final, with the losing side knocked out of the season.
Rusty were too strong in the end, winning 3-6-165 to 1-3-139.
David Moloney claimed Quiksilver’s only rubber of the contest.
Lachlan Donovan pushed Daniel Gurney, with the rubber coming down to the wire, but Gurney was able to pull off a 1-2-61 to 0-1-57 win.
Ripcurl took on Billabong in a qualifying semi final, with the winner progressing to the grand final on Monday, June 26 and the loser playing Rusty in a preliminary final.
Ripcurl dominated as they took out a 3-7-191 to 1-3-173 win.
Greg Gorter, Mandi Hancock and Paul Thompson won rubbers for Ripcurl on their way to the victory.
Billabong will face Rusty on Monday, June 19 for a chance to take on Ripcurl in the grand final.
