
The four teams of Stawell’s Wednesday Night Tennis Competition battled it out in wintry conditions for a place in the A Grade grand final on Wednesday, May 17.
Bremick convincingly defeated Dulux, 81 games to 66, securing a spot in the A Grade grand final.
It was a tighter affair in the second semi-final, with Mitre 10 overcoming Selley by two games, 72-70.
Bremick will face Mitre 10 in the A grade grand final and Dulux will play Selley in the B Grade grand final on Wednesday night.
Dynamic duo Giovanna Monaghan and Cassandra Coffey starred for Bremick claiming all three sets, the pairing of Coffey and Bridie Perry winning a nail-biter second set against Jaxon Turner and Kayla-Mae Hyslop, 7-6.
Les Murray was a standout in defeat for Selley, winning all of his sets.
After a lengthy season, all teams showed heart and soul to get to the competition’s final stages.
The grand finals will start at 7pm at the Stawell Tennis Club on Wednesday, May 17.
