The Stawell Hospital Auxiliary’s Wine and Savoury evening has been labelled “a great success”, raising more than $5000 for a new oncology chair at Stawell Regional Health.
Group member Ruth Hatton said 120 people attended the event and made it a huge success.
“Without the support of the community and local businesses this wouldn’t have been achieved,” she said.
“The Auxiliary would like to express their thanks to Terry Monaghan for his enthusiastic auctioneering skills and also a thanks to the following businesses for their generous and ongoing support, Ritchies IGA, The National Hotel, Ahchow Family/ Seppelts, Leigh Clarnette/ Montara Winery, Kimbarra Winery, Grampians Estate, and Halls Gap Estate.”
The raffle winners were Carol McDonald, Lorraine Rowe, Merrilyne Middleton, June Raeburn and Helene Greenberger.
“The aim was to raise enough funds to purchase a new oncology chair for the hospital and this amount will enable that to be achieved,” Ms Hatton said.
