The Communities of Marnoo and Stawell have combined to raise $10,130 for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
Marnoo Memorial Hall hosted a fundraising function on the evening of Thursday, April 13.
Marnoo and District Supporters Group hosted the event.
Group president John Matthews said Marnoo had hosted this type of fundraiser for the Royal Children’s Hospital for many years.
“To raise this type of money takes involvement by the whole community,” he said.
“Businesses in Marnoo and Stawell have really supported this years’ fundraiser as well as community members. Each and every donation is gratefully appreciated.
“It makes you feel proud when you belong to a small community that can put on an event like this to raise money for such a worthy cause.”
