Stawell Country Fire Authority brigade extinguished two illegal burns at Stawell on Wednesday, which prompted a warning to residents fire danger restrictions were still in place.
Ararat CFA Operations Manager Bernie Fradd said restrictions would remain until May 1.
“Over the Easter weekend there will be nice weather, so if you are out camping just remember there is still dry grass,” he said.
“Extinguish your fire before you leave and visit the CFA website for things you can and cannot do.”
