Stawell Primary School announced their student leadership teams at a formal ceremony on Monday morning.
School principal Robyn Jones said the leadership program encouraged students to develop their leadership skills which included building self-confidence, using initiative and public speaking.
“Our leadership philosophy is also about giving back, so all students are encouraged to help others, whether it be the 502 community or the broader Stawell community,” she said.
“Our wish is for our students to become active members of their community so that they can make a difference in the future.”
The three teams were the Student Leadership Team, Junior School Council and the School Pride and Community Team.
