Pomonal will go into its first Grampians Cricket Association A grade final against Buangor with a ‘nothing to lose’ attitude.
The side missed out on finals last season and is eager to redeem itself at the weekend.
During the season Buangor and Pomonal took one game a each, but Pomonal thought it could have won both games.
Pomonal has won three consecutive games.
“We have had good wins over Halls Gap, Buangor and now Tatyoon,” Pomonal leader Lee Oliver said.
“We are in good form, but that doesn't count for much. If we do not win this one we are sent home.”
Oliver himself will push up the order for finals while middle order batsman Matt Grinham is also in form.
Pomonal will have an unchanged line-up.
Buangor’s Jim Fraser will be a wicket Pomonal must to take early in the day. Buangor is the favoured team on a hard wicket, but on Alexandra Oval’s turf wicket the game is anyone's to win.
