The race will be moved 25 minutes up the road due to a faulty irrigation pump.
Stawell Racing Club manager Mark Percival said the Stawell Racing Club were happy to hold the meet on such short notice.
The Ararat racing club became aware of the issue Monday and it was decided at 6.00pm that night that the races would be relocated in Stawell.
“What we like to do is showcase our ability to race,” Percival said.
“By meeting these kind of requests we certainly do that. Everyone has pulled together and we look to be on top of things before Thursday.”
The eight race card will kick off at 1.30pm will the last scheduled for 5.30pm.
It is yet to be decided whether it will be an additional race meeting for the Stawell club or if they will have one of their meetings moved.
Local trainers Terry and Karina O’Sullivan have nominations for the day.
Percival said the local trainers were generous with the way they handle the situation.
“TKO stables and Smith racing were suppose to gallop on the track on Tuesday, but they were happy to reschedule for Friday which works well for everyone,” he said.
Stawell track manager Chris Graham will have his work cut out to ensure the track is still in good condition following the races on Thursday.
