
Stawell Bowling Club member Andrew Sharp won his 12th club championship against Andrew Cray.
He defeated Cray in the final 25 shots to 21 to claim the honour on January 22.
The match started off with neither player getting the ascendency as the score was five shots all, then both players continued playing tight shots to bring the score to 16 shots each.
Sharp picked up four and then two in the following two ends to build a 22 shots to 16 lead and managed to consolidate the lead to finish four shots ahead.
Sharp progressed through to the final with a 25-20 win against Neil Coates while Cray recovered from a slow start in his semi-final to win 25 shots to 17 against Neddy Jenkins.
Cray was down by seven shots in the match but managed to string a number of ends together to earn the eight shot win and move into the final,
Sharp will now represent the club at the Grampians Bowls Division champion of champions event against the other club champions at Aradale Bowls Club on February 12.
