President of the Ballarat Orchid Club Craig Miles was the guest speaker at the Stawell Orchid Society’s annual general meeting.
Mr Miles is also the youngest qualified judge with the OSCOV judging panel, he is also an exceptional grower having won many shows and awards with his magnificent orchids.
This year shows all the signs of being an excellent flowering season, with several genera being well advanced in growth and budding, partly due to the hot humid weather experienced recently.
The Stawell Orchid Society Inc. has organized for some of the best speakers in Victoria to attend their meetings this year, they will also have bus trips, barbecues, three local orchid shows, have plans to compete in state shows and more.
Anyone with an interest in orchids or gardening in general is invited to attend any of these events.
