Hamilton Lamb Memorial Hall committee treasurer Susan Hogan said it was a good crowd.
“The dance attracted a friendly group of 40 dancers keen to dance into 2017,” she said.
“Don Papst once again supplied the music and also acted as MC for the evening, and Bruce and Susanne Beattie led the dancers onto the floor for the evening's easy dance program.
“As always, everyone brought along a plate of supper and pitched in with the washing up.”
Ms Hogan said it was pleasing to see some new faces as well as regulars and urged people to attend the group’s next meet on February 7.
“We hope that in 2017 we have people coming along to try out dancing as a new pastime,” she said.
“A New Year's resolution perhaps, or maybe you danced years ago and have lapsed?”
Ms Hogan thanked all who dancers at last year’s events.
