Reunion organiser, Graeme Anyon, said there had been reports in Melbourne media recently that the reunion was this weekend, but he was quick to reassure those wishing to attend, that it was definitely on October 13.
“I guess if you can take a positive out of the date being printed wrong, it is that it created an enormous amount of interest,” Mr Anyon said.
“I can assure everyone though, that it is definitely on Saturday, October 13.”
Mr Anyon said the reunion had also created a great deal of interest as people started reflecting on the ‘Did you know’ scenarios.
“We had a lot of famous people attend the High and Tech. Either they did well for themselves, or their sons, daughters and grandkids are doing really well in various fields,” Mr Anyon said.
“You only have to mention names like Ray Potter, Alan Hird, John Kennedy, Tim Notting, Liam Pickering, Jude Bolton, Noel Raitt, Henry Gunstone, Roy West, Gary Grainger, Chris and Greg Perry, Craig Ellis, Ken Beck and Harold Mitchell to see the connection.
“There will be a lot more people in other fields as well, like medicine, people with musical talents, who have had a parent or grandparent attend the school.
“We hope they will attend the reunion on Saturday, October 13 and share their stories with us.”
