Special tribute was paid during the service to Landsborough’s own Anzacs, Private George Aston, who was awarded the Military Medal on October 30, 1917, Private William Beale who was also known as Lance Corporal William Lang (Military Medal) and Lance Corporal AJ (Fred) Dunn (awarded Distinguished Conduct medal).
In attendance were their descendants along with approximately 100 others, including the children of the Landsborough Primary School who performed two songs, ‘The Last Anzac’ and “Two Little Boys”.
Thanks to everyone who attended Remembrance Day, particularly the superwomen on the barbecue.
