WFL - Talented Stawell Warriors junior Jarrod Illig has taken out joint runner up honours in the Wimmera Football League under fourteen vote count.

Illig was rewarded for a terrific season in which he polled the maximum votes in an impressive eight games and earned a vote in every match, except for one, to finish with a total of 35.
The youngster tied with Horsham Saints player Jarrod Berry, while Horsham Demons Jack Mentha finished on top with 40 votes.
The runner up award capped off a big year for Illig, who competed alongside Stawell's Sam Williams against some of the state's best under fifteen players in the V-Line Cup in April.
Illig then represented Wimmera Football League against Mallee in the under fourteen interleague match.
He was instrumental off the half back line before being moved onball where he also dominated in the Big W's 34-point win.
Illig represented Wimmera South in the 2012 GrainCorp Wimmera Region All Star Carnival and was named in the GrainCorp Wimmera Region All Star Team for 2012.
* In the under 17s, Warriors Zac Marrow finished fifth with 14 votes.
Marrow has had a solid season, playing in under 17s and stepped up to play seven games with the Warriors senior side.
