For the third time they have won the native section of the Royal Horticultural Society's 'Great Hanging Basket Competition'.
This year's basket was designed and planted by members Neil and Wendy Marriott and featured a range of small native ground covers and tufting plants. President of the group, Dave Handscombe, travelled to Melbourne to receive the prize from ABC Gardening Show presenter Jane Edmanson.
The Grampians Group is starting preparations for its 32nd annual flower show to be held at the Pomonal Hall on October 4 and 5.
This year's theme is "Daisies" and if there are any left after the dreadful frosts, you'll be able to see a lovely display at the show.
The children from Pomonal Primary School are contributing once again and there will be some information on the complex structure of the deceptively simple daisy flower.
The Pomonal community is also underway with an exciting 'Yarn Bombing' installation for spring, and the theme.... Daisies!
