Jeans for Genes Day is celebrating its 21st birthday today and residents can continue to make a difference by donning their jeans and donating to assist the work of scientists at the Australian Children's Medical Research Institute.
Scientists at the institute carry out vital research into birth defects and diseases such as cancer, epilepsy and a range of genetic disorders.
Staff at the Northern Grampians Shire Council will be donning their jeans for the good cause today, while youngsters and staff at the Taylors Gully Children's Services Centre will also be taking part with activities planned today.
Residents are encouraged to purchase a badge, pen or other merchandise from the Shack Cafe at the Stawell Health and Community Centre.
