Multicultural Cake Festival to bring the community together
IF you have a sweet tooth and want to come and share a day with multicultural and bilingual communities, then you will love the Multicultural Cake Festival that is being held at the Country Plaza Motel in Halls Gap on Saturday, September 20, from 12pm to 4pm.

The festival will be run by the Victorian Bangladeshi Community Foundation.
Entry is free and not only will there be cakes on display from Bangladesh, Nepal, Brazil, India, Timor Leste, China, Peru, and the Philippines, but there will be poetry in language, dance, cake celebration and cultural food tasting.
A free bus will be provided, and one will run from the Stawell Town Hall at 10:30 am and 11:30 am.
The bus will return from Halls Gap at 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
One of the organisers, Iqbal Hossain, said this is a chance to bring everyone together in a fun environment.
“Bringing the multicultural and bilingual communities together to celebrate and display their cultural heritage. This event will bring a welcoming, diverse and inclusive community safe and family-friendly event. It is an event where people feel socially connected, part of the community, and less socially isolated,” Iqbal said.
