Kookaburras bounce back with resounding win

Halls Gap Kookaburras has responded following their first loss of the season, with a massive 123-run win over the Horsham Tigers at Dimboola Road Oval in round 13 of the Horsham Cricket Association’s C-Grade competition.

Batting first, the Kookaburras scored a massive 2/318 from their 40 overs, with Bailey Stirling the star with an unbeaten 81.

Charlie McIntosh and Adam McCormack both retired not out on 54, while Joshua Reid retired not out on 50, and Joshua Leith scored 31.

In defence of their total, they restricted the Tigers to 6/195 with Caleb Bretherton continuing his wicket-taking season, claiming three wickets for 18 runs off six overs.

Bailey Stirling, Luke Stevens and Spencer Campbell were the other wicket-takers.

Saturday, the Kookaburras travel to Laharum to play the third-placed Demons in what should be a mouth-watering encounter.
