To succeed in the role as a Registered Midwife/Lactation Consultant, you will need to bring a genuine interest in caring for women and their family through the various stages of pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal care. You will be an experienced midwife with excellent communication skills and enjoy working in an inclusive and vibrant environment that values and supports our diverse families.
While the Lactation Consultant will focus specifically on the breastfeeding experience for the family, the lactation consultant will be responsible for providing Breast feeding education, guidance and support to staff working within the Postnatal Ward, Birthing Unit and Special Care Nursery.
Our Women's Health Unit is a 43 bed post/antenatal/gynecology ward with 7 birthing suite rooms. Supporting this service is a 7 bed level 2 Special Care Nursery. An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Midwife/Lactation Consultant to join our team on a full-time/part time basis. We are looking for an expert midwife/LC, who is committed to excellence, has extensive skills in post-partum care as well as a passion for delivery of woman centered care.

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020- 2024, a salary ranging from $33.91 - $47.62 per hour.
