Parks and Gardens Field Worker

Your new company
Our client is an established local council based on the Fraser Coast. They are looking for workers to maintain their parks and gardens. This council prides themselves on being innovative and community focused.

Your new role
You will be joining the Council's Parks and Gardens team looking after their parks and reserves on a large, commercial scale. This will include carrying out horticulture and landscaping tasks such as:

• Planting, weeding, mulching and pruning
• Mowing
• Irrigation
• Turf management
• Plant propagation
• Remove and dispose of debris and litter from parks and gardens;
• Assist and undertake landscape construction and maintenance
• General labouring; and
• Spray and control pests in parks and gardens.

What you'll need to succeed

• Construction Industry White Card.
• Current “C” class driver’s licence
• Certificate II or III in Horticulture or relevant experience.
• Physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting and bending.
• Experience and ability to operate relevant equipment (eg mowers, chainsaws, mulchers, brush cutters, etc.)
• AC/DC Licence.
• Medium Rigid (MR)/Heavy Rigid Licence (HR) desirable.
