The client is kicking off a 1.25km drilling campaign, on a project which is starting to show some exciting indications of a unique discovery. This is an opportunity for you to flex on your field & management skills.

This job provides plenty of scope for those who are true explorers, especially those with significant field skills & experience. If you are mechanically minded, savvy with tools, can troubleshoot in the field and have relevant experience, please keep reading!

Your new role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and setting up all field activities for the company. This position is offered on a campaign-style roster, which is an ideal opportunity for those seeking to spend more time in Perth. Due to the dynamic nature of this team, your scope of work encompasses the following:

  • Camp Logistics - Caravans, swags, camp set ups
  • Procedure writing
  • Environmental management - Government POWs, site rehabilitation etc
  • Safety protocol implementation & oversight - Safety management systems
  • Core cutting & related activities
  • Gridding, GPS work & related activities
  • Management of rigs - AC, RC, DD
  • Supplies and maintenance of supply - House in Kalgoorlie for supply runs etc
  • General troubleshooting in the field - mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc
  • General co-ordinating of field and logistics work
  • General field duties, as required by the company

What you'll need to succeed

  • Greenfields Experience
  • Exposure to a mining environment
  • Experience in site rehabilitation, including government POWs
  • Audit Management experience
  • Experience creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Management & leadership experience - you will lead the field team
  • A mechanical mind and the ability to troubleshoot when in the field - plumbing, electrics, etc.
  • Vehicle general maintenance experience (quadbikes, Suzuki)
  • Experience as a field assistant
  • Proven experience at managing & implementing safety procedures
  • First Aid certificate
  • Excellent organisation skills & logistics management - you will be responsible for overseeing all site related duties including supplies, maintenance, co-ordination of personnel
  • HR ticket
  • Forklift license preferred
  • Experience with helicopters a bonus
  • The right attitude - Someone who gets along with a diverse team
