Senior Civil Designer Roads

Your new company
Our client is a Brisbane Based Public Sector Authority. They are looking to engage a Senior Civil Designer to plan, manage and deliver the design and documentation for transport infrastructure projects to agreed quality, time and budget.

Your new role
The role is senior team member and responsible for delivery of civil design and documentation for the more complex transport and infrastructure projects being delivered by the team.
Role is end to end and will involve:

• site inspections to obtain field measurements, make relevant observations to advise stakeholder on technical matters
• The preparation of civil engineering designs and drawings associated with transport infrastructure projects in consultation with the Design Manager and key stakeholders.
• Preparation of schedules of quantities, estimates and construction documentation

Being senior team member the role does require some on-the-job mentoring and guidance to other staff.

What you'll need to succeed
Candidates ideally be experienced Civil Designers with experience of 12d and AutoCAD. They would also have enough experience to be able to work in a relatively standalone role. A tertiary qualification in Civil engineering is preferred

What you'll get in return
Client is a long term contract role with anticipated duration of 1.5- 2 years with possible extension and hourly rates are flexible based on experience. Suggest ball-park figures $60-65ph plus super. Working from home may possible on occasion as agreed with the design manager.
