Bungaree got the jump early, leading by six points at quarter-time, but Skipton found their groove in the second quarter, kicking two goals, while holding their opponents scoreless to lead by nine points at the main break.

The heavens opened in the third quarter, which made play difficult with the slippery ball, and neither team was able to kick a goal with Skipton leading by 11 points at the final break.

Bungaree kicked the only goal of the final term, to draw the margin back to under a goal, but Skipton held on to run out 3.10.28 to 3.3.21 winners.

Caden Clark, Tynan Craig-Peters and Seth Wall were the goalkickers for Skipton.

Cooper Cahill was best-on-ground with Ned Ross, Joshua Hopper, James Read, Seth Wall, and Isaac Kopke-Veldhuis all named among the best.

Skipton has the task ahead of them tomorrow against Learmonth, who finished the regular season on top of the ladder.

The only time these two teams played was back in round seven, where Learmonth won by 35 points.
