For over 150 years The Ararat Advertiser has been the voice for all that happens in our local community.
First published on August 1, 1857 as a free single sheet newspaper and distributed to the thousands of miners seeking their fortunes on the Ararat goldfields, the paper certainly has seen many changes over the years.
The current format sees our pages set up at our office in Ligar Street and sent to our print site located in Wendouree for printing twice a week.
Over the last several years The Ararat Advertiser has embraced the online world, publishing our main stories twice a week on our website and publishing local breaking news as it unfolds.
